ALTIS is a “patent pending” Automated Vision Inspection System (AVIS) developed by UnitedPros in collaboration with several partner firms. ALTIS automatically detects logging truckload height, length, log damage, and position safety hazards. ALTIS features a custom designed array of advanced image acquisition technology to capture images that are analyzed in “real time” using proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, and machine learning technology. International tire manufacturer needed an automated tire tread surface inspection system to detect critical defects and anomalies of varying types and sizes prior to treads being adhered to tire surfaces. A UnitedPros partner firm designed this unique, proprietary imaged-based machine learning solution based on advanced vision technology, deep learning and custom AI algorithm development. Through the process, defects are detected and classified in a "real time", allowing operators to quickly analyze critical activities in a single dashboard and immediately remove defective treads from the production line. Data is stored and available for onsite and 24/7 remote reporting and analytics. The system is being deployed in one of the company’s major tire manufacturing facilities with additional system deployment at other US locations in 2021 and 2022.

Material Handling Robotics
A national food processing company had a legacy robot with end effectors that were unreliable and causing significant downtime, efficiency and maintenance issues in its bulk material handling operations. A UnitedPros partner firm worked with a leading robotic end effector manufacturer to develop a unique new effector solution. Work included design and installation of new effector, programming for robot tool paths and sub routines, SAT and commissioning. Technology used included; ABB Robot Programming, Robot Studio and Allen Bradley HMI. The result was a new robotic system enhancement that increased operational efficiency, less product loss and eliminated robot down time.

Filter Manufacturing Robotics
An international automotive air filter manufacturer required overhauling of a filter production operation at one of its manufacturing plants. A new, robotic automation process was designed and installed on a filter production line that produces air filters for Ford trucks. A UnitedPros partner firm designed, built and installed three new conveyor systems and installed two new 6-axis dispensing robots, along with design and custom fabrication of a 2-axis servo mold release gantry system. The new system was engineered and installed featuring two new PLC control panels with HMIs, and integrated the new equipment with a legacy polyurethane dispensing and oven system. The result was a new robotics based automation system that has increased line output and efficiency, and significantly reduced production line down time.
